Prathieka Naidoo
Professor Naidoo is a senior researcher in the Thermodynamics Research Unit. Her research includes a number of projects and contract work for local, national and international industries & companies. A summary of her research outputs to date include >20 journal publications, 2 patents, >30 conference proceedings, supervision of 13 masters’ students and 5 PhD students (graduated).

Professor Naidoo's research achievements to date include: NRF/Thuthuka award over 2007 – 2012; ESKOM TESP Grant from 2013 to date. Part of the team which won the 2001 Catalyst Innovation Competition (National) and the SAICHE 2013 Innovation Award.

Courses that she's lectured include: Mass and Energy Balancing (1st and 2nd level); Thermodynamics (2nd and 3rd level) and Mass Transfer and Advanced Mass Transfer courses (3rd and 4th level). She was the Academic Leader for the Chemical Engineering Programme at UKZN from March 2012-2014.
